“Fearless Aging is being willing to take risks to keep enjoying life to the fullest”

Susanne Gray is Assistant Treasurer of the Foundation. She became involved with SFO thanks to encouragement from her good friend, Hearld Ambler. Susanne wants to ensure seniors have the resources they need for a dignified life.

As CFO of Community Foundation of the Ozarks, Susanne has the opportunity to engage with donors and charitable organizations.  The fact that persons 85 and older make up the fastest-growing segment of our population motivates her to find new ways to secure funds for senior needs in our community.

When she isn’t working, you will find Susanne walking her cairn terrier, Teddy, taking in some live music, working in her garden and visiting her beloved Mom.

She has been married to Steve for 35 years. Together they enjoy traveling and spending time with daughters Jessica and Emily.

Who was a senior who influenced you?

My Dad, Sir John Ruzicka, served in the US Army during World War II.  For his bravery in Normandy, he was knighted by France and given the Medal of Honor, the highest decoration in France.  And my Mom, Mary Frances Ruzicka, who has shown us how to live a life with grace.
